Bittersweet...

Tuesday night we had a nice little rooftop party. The roof outside my window is a perfect place for hanging out, studying, eating, and pregaming! Someone made pasta and there was a big pasta dinner on the roof. Someone else played the guitar, and we hung out and drank. Then we got ready and, attempting not to fall in my heels, I hung out a little more on the roof. When we finally went out we went to Billy Booze, a fun dance club/bar/discount bar! Unfortunately no one was dancing... until we got there. We were a group of (literally) 30+ people! It was SO fun! So many dance-offs. By the time we went on the dance floor it looked packed, just because there were so many of us!

"Probably"
On Wednesday I woke up and studied on the roof. Then I went to see Mom at her hotel!!! She brought me everything bagels from Bagels and More!!! BME!!! (Best Mom Ever, quote from Shira Sandler). After my long and painful (literally, hand cramps) test, I went to meet up with Mom. We ate some bread and cheese at a yummy restaurant in Nyhavn. It was soo pretty. Then we met up with Jenny and Morgan and had dinner at Mama Rosa! Obviously we got crepes after. None of us were planning on going out, but when I got back from Mom's hotel at 10:30, I checked Olgert's room next door and decided to spontaneously go out with them. I was the only American with them! It was a crazy night and it was so fun to be with all Europeans!!!! We went to the Meat Packing District and danced for hours.

Yesterday I woke up at 8:30am (AH!) and Jenny and Erik came over for some bagels! Erik had never had an everything bagel, nevertheless a bagel from NY, so I was happy to give him such a wonderful experience. After breakfast I met up with Mom and we went to the Frederiksberg Castle. It was soo pretty and we walked around inside a little. By the time we got to the 50th room we were ready for lunch. Mom had traditional Danish meatballs, something I've never even had! Then we walked around the gorgeous gardens. When we got back from the hour commute to the castle (in Hillerod) we went on a canal tour. I went on one in the beginning but it was too loud to hear what the woman was saying! This time I paid attention. It was really nice and it was beautiful outside so that made it even better.

After the canal tour I took Mom to the park next to my dorm that we always picnic in. We walked around the whole thing and kept comparing it to Central Park. Then we made our way to dinner in Nyhavn.

Last night was the "Goodbye Party." Needless to say, it was extremely bittersweet. We pregamed in the common room which was really fun. All of our friends came, including the Valby kids. Then we made our way to the club which was really far away. At first it wasn't fun and I really wanted to leave. Besides for the 2-for-1 cocktails/shots (awesome) it was pretty lame. Then all of a sudden it got CRAZY. Everyone started dancing on tables, couches, benches, everything! Also people danced on the floor... haha. It was so much fun - even though it was ridiculously hot. We danced on the tables and couches with everyone else and enjoyed our last night all together. When Laura left it got really sad. Jenny hysterically cried, standard. At about 3 we decided to go home so we'd be alive today. It was a TREK to get home, especially in high heels!

Today I woke up and have been packing (SO SAD) for a couple of hours. Should be interesting getting all of this to Rome, Venice, and home! Now I am off to meet Mom for my last day of tourism!

xo,
JOJ
